The coordinates given above are those of the car park at the main entrance to the site; in case it is crowded, there is an additional spot at N 47° 53,040 W002° 43,860.

The domain is open all day (except Monday) from 10 am to at least 6 pm and free of any admission charge.

To begin with, here is a small introduction to this very special place, which suits interests of different kinds as you will find out yourself later on :
The estate of about 170 hectares (430 acres) has been the property of the departement of Morbihan since 1972. It consists mainly of wooded parkland arranged by a landscape gardener and of course, a lake is not missing: All in all the perfect surrounding of a nice French château; this one is a listed historic monument and it is sometimes even called “The Versailles of Brittany;” right now there is some less picturesque restauration work in progress. By the way, in a side building you will find a café offering light refreshments and some information leaflets.
Shortly after entering the park you encounter a curious artefact set in the middle of the lake; it is one of the numerous sculptures – examples of modern art – spread throughout the whole terrain. The domain probably is better known as the “Parc de Sculptures,” which is supposed to be the largest of its genre in Europe. Part of the château outbuildings are transformed into a contemporary art centre with exhibitions of markedly investigative work by artists of all nationalities.
Pay a visit to each of the sculptures and pick your favourite one!
We have definitely chosen ours: It is number 15!
While searching for the sculptures, pay also some notice to the various exotic trees along the “sentier botanique.”

To get your quest fulfilled, you have to carry out a small task :
(Remember, you initially didn’t come for studying arts, actually you might not even be interested in arts or stuff like those strange and sometimes crazy artificial objects spoiling the beautiful landscape… well, some of them are quite nice… it is for you to decide, anyway.)

1.Find out which of the sculptures is being refered to number 15.
2.You need the number of parts the particular sculpture consists of.
Replace the X by the number you have just counted to obtain the exact coordinates to the cache location :
N 47° 52,(X)(X+2)(X)
W 002° 44,(X-X)(X-2)(X)

Now go forth to unveil the treasure this remarkable place may reveal to you only and which it keeps hidden as an unknown secret to all other visitors…

If someone must encounter the cache having disappeared or been destroyed, then please let us know via e-mail.

We wish we could have worked out a real multi stage hunt – the park offers so many opportunities – but unfortunately we were short of time; sorry for the quite simple version.

Thank you and happy hunting

Great, great, great.
Art, nature, good light and a cache, a perfect combination. We spent nearly 3 hours for the park, it was worth.
Many thanks
