| This cache is set on the ‘tow path’ of the canalised River Blavet
and is a short walk or cycle ride from the village of
Saint-Nicholas des Eaux. Parking is in the village, (12km. from
Pontivy) and a walk or cycle ride along the tow-path, downstream
from Saint Nicholas. |
The ‘Hermitage de Saint-Gildas' sits at the foot of a huge rock on
the other side of the river and was built in 570.
The cache is set on the edge of the towpath and if the tree cover
causes problems, the additional clue gives the exact location. Sit
a while and enjoy the view!

après avoir fait le mauvais choix de nous rendre directement à la chapelle où nous avons découvert la cache de la ciste locale (bien en évidence, donc nous l'avons masquée davantage) nous avons trouvé le lieu de la cache correspondant au descriptif et bien situé aux coordonnées mais point de boite, nous pensons que la 1ère spoliation a été réitérée.
remarques : le lieu de la cache est sur un terrain privé et visible de 3 caravanes et bungalows ce qui peut expliquer la disparition

We went first on the wrong side of the canal but luckily we had previously seen a place to cross it. So, the harm was not that big. Once at the cache area the box waited us 'plein air' with no coverage beside a birch. There was no log book nor TB in the cache. We logged on a paper that we found in the cache container. Before going away we put the cache in its original place and camouflaged it with sticks and leaves.

Endroit magnifique et d'un calme extraordinaire, côté cache..... 
....¨Par contre un jour de "journées du patrimoine", St Gildas ne doit pas être en paix.

Had a stroll along the river from Nicolas des Eaux, the little cats on there bikes. A nice easy find with use of the clue. TFTC SL

14h45 Trouvé facilement, malgrès les nombreux moldus admirant la demeure de St Gildas. L'Hermitage etait peut-être isolé d'accès, mais pas de la vue.
