Su privilegiada situación, en plena Costa del Sol, rodeado de picos, sobre la falda de la Sierra de las Nieves, en plenas estribaciones de la Serranía de Ronda, hacen de Benahavís un auténtico Paraíso Natural. Quienes gusten de la buena mesa, a buen seguro disfrutarán de su conocida tradición gastronómica. Y es que como en Benahavís se come en muy pocos sitios: por su exquisita y variada cocina, carnes, pescados, caza en temporada ... para degustar en sus más de 20 conocidos restaurantes. El caché Puedes hacerlo a la vuelta de ver el pueblo por que como veras en tu GPS esta al otro lado de la carretera llegando al pueblo, hay un pequeño aparcamiento justo al lado.

On a weeks holiday with 7 old mates from scouts (40+ years ago!!). The other 7 are completely hooked on golf and cannot unerstand why on earth I would rather only play a couple of times, and "waste good golfing opportunities" by going caching. The whole week was taken up with their laughing at this collectively, but asking more questions about caching privately. Ah well, I enjoyed a good cache fest in the sun anyway.

We had been to Benahavis for an evening meal a few times during the week. Its got some wonderful places to eat, with good food and a great location. I wasn't going to give my friends the chance to see me desperately looking for this cache, so came during the day. I was glad I had. It took almost an hour to find. The coordinates were out by about 40 ft, and there are a lot of places to look. Its not in the trees/shrubs. I was about to give up when I looked at the difficulty/terrain rating and decided that I'd made it harder than it was. I had it within 10 minutes. Took out a brass travel bug. Then into town for some much needed tapas.

Easy found with Nick Marks and we had a fantastic bathing in the mountain river afterwards with our 2 families!!!

Looked a long time, but we couldn't find it. We only found a black plastic bag that many cachers use to hide their boxex. Is it still there?

Found it (finally). We live about 500m away, but after 5 times trying I gave up. Fortunally our friend Katjazhar came and found it after 2 minutes, so I felt a bit ashamed.

Of cause we knew the place with the beautiful river. But for more adventurous people, you could try the path up, that will lead you to 2 caves (don't forget a latern)
