Having attempted several caches in the area I realised that although I do like long walks up steep mountains, not one of them is particularly child friendly. Especially not for my two and a half year old daughter. So whilst visiting my parents, who live out here I decided to place a cache in an area that we take the children walking. You can drive pretty much up to cache along firm dirt tracks that have a few potholes (not a good idea to drive your brand new car up them). However we tend to park back near the urbanisation and walk into the forest which is at the foothills of the Mijas mountains. This proably makes the walk a couple of miles though. The forest can be entered from several directions but the easiest way is to go along the A-road between Alhaurin el Grande and Alhaurin el Torre and turn of down the Camino Forestal, near the Mirador hotel. Near the cache is some interesting earthworks and some nice views, also a large cave. |

Very difficult drive in our hire car. Eventually found it. No trade.
LOOPYLULU --- Looks like some dutch cacher has cleaned out ALL the TB´s and GC´s with no computer entry. It´s in the paper log. Very greedy !!
