Carmona es una ciudad de carácter evolutivo ejemplar que ha conservado una organización del espacio y unas estructuras características de las sucesivas fases de su historia. Carmona es una de las ciudades de mayor abolengo histórico de la provincia. Sus distintas denominaciones pregonan el papel de la ciudad en las distintas invasiones. Su nombre es de raiz semita "KAR" que significa ciudad y se explica por su probable fundación fenicia. Los romanos la llamaron "CARMO", y los árabes "QARMUNA".

Hot hot hot hot hot. That's the weather today. We were afraid to leave the air-conditionend car because we knew it wound heat up while we're gone. But hey, there was a cache to find so we did it anyway. The views over the plains are great, thanks for placing this box here. BTW: I didn't see any almond shells anywhere on the floor. Aren't these supposed to be almond trees?
