History
The old fire brigade headquarters was build in 1888 and replaced
Corps de Garde and the
administration office in Hagerupsgården. The fire
station was modern build meant as stable for horses. The
station could keep house for 8 to 9 horses. As the cars replaced
the horses, the stables were converted to garages. The gate was
narrow and most cars had to be special build. In 1934 the façade
was changed and the gate adjusted "the new" age. From
2007, the building will serve as a museum.
The banana on

located strategic at Nygårdstangen. The building will serve about
one hundred employees. The garages will make room for 28 cars. The
building is 150 meters long, three floors and total base of 7500
square meters.
