The beech hedge called Les Charmilles is the longest one of Belgium, with a length of 573 m. The green tunnel consists of 4700 beeches, 60 to 70% of them are older than hundred years. This tree hedge was cultivated in 1885 on behalf of J. R. Nys, a former entrepreneur.
Park your car at N 50° 28.102' E 005° 46.749'.
Go to the two pillars that mark the beginning of Les Charmilles.
Before you start your walk through the green tunnel don’t forget to look to the right.
There is a memorial for a noble lady.
Note when she died: ab. Decembre cdef.
Now walk and enjoy the landscape.
At the end of the tunnel you will find a bench, there you can rest and calculate where to search for the cache.
It is hidden at N 50° 28.(b-a-e,d/2,c)' E 005° 46.(b-c,b,a-e)'.

Charmant weggetje. In de zomer in volle bloei moet dat ook knap zijn, als we dan eens in de buurt zijn komen we nog eens kijken. Cache gemakkelijk gevonden. Mooie vliegenzwammen in de buurt gezien. Gelogd om 11.48
TFTC. Uit GC.
Nog jeugdsentiment bovengehaald. Op weg naar deze cache passeerden we de Ninglinspo. Daar ben ik ooit op schoolreis geweest vele jaren geleden. Ik had geen idee waar dat zou kunnen zijn en toevallig de dag ervoor nog over verteld aan dostito in stoeltjeslift tijdens bezoek aan watervallen van coo. Wat is de wereld toch klein

Our last cache for today... and we ended with a real small jewel 
who would have guessed that there is this small gem quite in the middle of nowhere? Lovely walk and hiding place!

Echt een plaats die we anders niet hadden gevonden, maar die zeker een bezoek waard is. Veel paddestoelen in het bos. Greetz.

Op dinsdag twee augustus nog wat tijd over en dus nog even wat geocachen...De dame in rust al snel gevonden en daarna een hele bijzondere wandeling gemaakt. De cache zonder problemen snel gevonden!
